Advanced Clinical Assessment next runs in Oct-2026 and will be delivered alongside a new sister-unit: Foundations of Clinical Examination. The two units are co-requisite and run in parallel. This means you must take both together.
Students must be working in a setting where they will be able to observe and carry out hands-on clinical examinations on a range of patients with suitable supervision. We therefore require some additional details about applicants' clinical experience and workplace.
You must complete our Essential Information form (new version available shortly) and upload it to your application. The requirements for our units may differ slightly from the instructions in the standard online application guidance (which is generic for all University programmes). Where differences exist, please ensure that you follow the requirements noted in our Essential Information Form.
If you wish to apply to take these units on a standalone CPD basis, applications will go live in May and will be likely to close in early September 2026.
If you want to take these units as part of a larger course, including the Advanced Clinical Pharmacy Practice MSc, please submit a course application through the relevant webpage. You can commence your pathway with another unit in June to September 2026, before joining the ACA cohort in October 2026.
