<![CDATA[Outreach Internships (CC13497)]]> /jobs/rss/click.aspx?ref=CC13497 /jobs/rss/click.aspx?ref=CC13497 Shape the Future of Bath — whilst building yours!

We’re offering four dynamic placement roles for Bath students who want hands-on experience, real responsibility, and a chance to make a genuine impact on the journeys of prospective students. Whether you’re passionate about events, digital engagement, outreach, student voice or travelling to schools across the UK, there's a role here that’ll stretch your skills and grow your confidence.

The four roles are:

 • Campus Events Intern (CET)
 • Outreach Programmes Intern
 • Student Recruitment Intern (SRT)
 • Access & Participation Plan (APP) Impact Intern

Each role offers variety, training, and the support of experienced teams within Student Recruitment & Admissions. You’ll work closely with young people, ambassadors, colleagues and fellow interns — and help shape some of the most exciting and meaningful projects we run.

The roles

Campus Events Intern (CET):
If you love organising and bringing experiences to life, this role puts you right in the middle of our campus activity. You'll support and deliver taster days, residentials (like Discover Bath), open days, campus tours and school visits, ensuring prospective students get a true sense of what Bath has to offer. You’ll also help deliver talks on applying to university and coordinate the Outreach Ambassadors, including their recruitment, selection and training. Expect plenty of teamwork, juggling competing demands and creativity.

Outreach Programmes Intern:
This role focuses on our blended programmes such as Pathway to Bath and Apply with Bath. You’ll work both online and on campus, helping deliver sessions that support students from underrepresented groups — including young carers, care-experienced, estranged and forced-migration backgrounds. You’ll contribute to planning, content design and running sessions, using your own Bath student perspective to shape programmes that feel relevant and engaging. There’s also scope to support an additional team (such as social media), giving you freedom to tailor the placement to your interests.

Student Recruitment Intern (SRT):
If you enjoy meeting new people, travelling and representing something you’re proud of, this role is for you. As the friendly face of Bath, you’ll visit schools, colleges and higher education fairs across the UK, delivering workshops and sharing your insights about the application process, student life and your own Bath journey. You'll learn to present confidently, manage event logistics, and interact with a wide range of students, teachers and advisers. This role is ideal for someone who loves being on the move, is comfortable speaking to groups, and enjoys variety in their work.

Access & Participation Plan (APP) Impact Intern:
This role is perfect if you’re passionate about ensuring student voices genuinely shape university decision-making. You’ll support the evaluation and impact work behind our Access & Participation Plan, helping us understand what’s working and where improvements can be made. You’ll gather and analyse student feedback, support engagement strategies, contribute to evaluation activities, and help ensure our initiatives genuinely reflect the experiences, needs and priorities of current and prospective students.

What you’ll gain

 • Real, tangible experience: events, outreach, data, digital delivery, presenting, evaluation, teamwork — these roles are packed with transferable skills.
 • Professional confidence: you’ll be trusted with meaningful work, supported by experts, and encouraged to develop your initiative.
 • Community & collaboration: you’ll work closely with fellow interns, ambassadors and staff across multiple teams. Expect a friendly, supportive environment.
 • A serious CV boost: these roles give you experience directly tied to education, events, communication, outreach and organisational development.
 • Flexibility: some evening or weekend work comes with the territory — but you’ll also gain overtime in-lieu and a great sense of achievement.

What we’re looking for

We’re not seeking perfection — we’re looking for potential. Someone who is:

 • Enthusiastic about helping others succeed
 • A strong communicator
 • Comfortable with technology
 • Organised and proactive
 • Willing to adapt and dive into new challenges

Further information

These placements are challenging, dynamic, and sometimes demand some flexibility (including some evening or weekend work), but if you’re ready to make a genuine impact then apply now, via the University website.

This isn’t just another placement; it’s your chance to be at the heart of what makes Bath brilliant. Bring your energy, creativity, and determination – just real talk and real opportunities!

These posts are offered on a full-time basis (1.0 FTE) for a fixed-term period from 2 September 2026 with an expected end date of 30 July 2027.
