About the role

We are seeking a reliable and proactive full-time Cleaner Porter to join our friendly Campus Services team within Cleaning and Portering. This role offers a varied workload, and a typical day may include:

  • Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness within designated areas
  • Emptying general waste and recycling bins
  • Assisting with the movement of furniture, equipment, and deliveries
  • Supporting room setups for events, meetings, and teaching activities
  • Responding to reactive requests from building users and facilities teams
  • Ensuring the safe handling and storage of materials and supplies
  • Providing a visible, helpful, and approachable presence for students, staff, and visitors

Please note, this role involves lifting and carrying. We are open to consider a variety of flexible work options but the typical role hours are 5am - 12.48pm Monday to Friday with occasional weekend working to cover busy periods and University events such as annual open days.

We are now looking for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Campus Services Training Lead to join our HR team. This is a newly created role designed to transform how we develop our people—ensuring every colleague has the skills, knowledge and confidence to thrive in their current role and build a rewarding career with us.

As the Campus Services Training Lead, you will:

  • Lead and develop the Campus Services Training Academy, ensuring it becomes the central hub for operational training.
  • Work with Campus Services managers and leaders to design, deliver and evaluate high quality training for a wide range of staff groups, from new starters to experienced supervisors.
  • Develop clear career pathways and training plans to support succession planning and internal progression.
  • Create blended and flexible learning solutions—including online content, workshops, coaching, and 1 2 1 interventions.
  • Lead all aspects of assessing and analysing training records, reports and management information to identify training gaps and improve service performance.
  • Ensure training reflects our values and behaviours, including our “Delivering the Experience” behaviours framework.
  • Work closely with the Campus Services Health, Safety and Compliance team to coordinate mandatory and skills-based training.
  • Manage a Campus Services Training Coordinator.

This role sits within the friendly and proactive Campus Services HR team, working alongside an HR Business Partner, Deputy HR Business Partner, HR Advisor, and Recruitment & 四虎影院 Experience Coordinator and Training Coordinator.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about people development and skilled at delivering high quality, engaging training in a busy operational environment.

You will have:

  • Experience identifying training needs and working with stakeholders to plan development activity.
  • A proven track record of designing and delivering training for diverse staff groups.
  • Experience supporting managers and teams through facilitation, coaching and development planning.
  • Experience utilising online learning solutions.
  • Strong IT skills and an interest in process improvement (e.g., SharePoint, Power Automate).
  • Experience ensuring training is accessible, inclusive and engaging.

This role is offered on a part-time basis, Monday to Thursday, 9:00am to 5:20pm, and is a permanent position (0.8 FTE).
